International Festival

Julian and I volunteered at the International Festival. We were at a language conversation booth along with other volunteers providing English, French, Chinese, Vietnamese and other language conversation practice. We had a huge line of people waiting to talk to us. It was really fun and very busy. I was surprised at the number of people that waited in long lines to practice English.

Someone told us that we were in the newspaper. This past week, at Takaoka Elementary School, as I wask past a poster, I did a double take because there was a picture with me and Julian at the International Festival. This is the second time this has happened to me. In June, my neighbors told me they saw me in a photo exhibit at the local mall. I checked it out and there I was the only person in the background of the photo, but it was definitely me. I should wear my red and white stripped pirate shirt more often - Where's Taube?

LMAO! That's soooo awesome! I love how everyone around me gets so much press - for just, you know, doing whatever is normally done.

I knew that shirt would come in handy!
