Thanksgiving 2006

Congratulations to my friend, Canada and her new husband, Kirby! They got married over Thanksgiving weekend in Mexico!

This year, we had a big pot luck thanksgiving dinner at Shirasagi Residence with 30 people.

A friend of a friend went to the Tokyo military grocery store and bought us 3 - 8 pound turkeys and 6 boxes of stove top stuffing.
Some of the teachers came to our room, so we could cook together.

Chelsea and Julian cleaning and playing with the turkeys.

Steve made vegetarian pasta.Karen helped me clean and cut carrots. She also made sweet potatoes.
Chelsea made a huge pot of mashed potatoes. I helped her peel 50-75 potatoes.
We deep fried three, 8 pound turkeys. Julian had to work that night, so he left as we started working on the 3rd turkey. Thankfully, our friend, John was there to help me. I don't like to work with boiling hot oil, so he was a huge help.
Here is our Thanksgiving buffet table. Happy Thanksgiving
