Sunday Morning
This morning as we were laying in bed typing away on our laptops, we heard a noise that sounded like a small explosion and then we felt our bed shake/move and the building shake. It lasted for maybe five-ten seconds. Is it better to be on the 4th floor or the 1st floor? This was the first earthquake we felt since moving to Japan. I don't think Himeji has many earthquakes. It was creepy.

Looks like the earthquake was in Ishikawa-ken. I'm closer but I didn't feel anything. Of course, I was snoozing away.

It's nice that you were at least awake through it!
Earthquakes are FUN! If people didn't get hurt property values would be higher in places where they happen often. Imagine the possibilities!
